So many people were shocked and pained when they found out that Paul Walker had died in a car accident back in 2013. The actor’s untimely death had a huge impact in Hollywood.
Yet, Walker’s legacy is not forgotten. His daughter, Meadow, is making sure of that. Not only is the girl all grown up, modeling in front of the world, but she’s also making major moves in her father’s footsteps.
Meadow Walker launched a foundation in her late father’s honor on what would have been the man’s 42nd birthday. It was two years after Paul Walker had passed away, but everyone was excited to hear about the continuation of his legacy. The foundation was named The Paul Walker Foundation – simple and to the point.
Meadow was 16 at the time of the foundation’s launch. But, despite her young age, the girl knew she wanted to make a difference in the world and give everyone something permanent to grab onto in the wake of her father’s sad death.
She explained, “I wanted to start this foundation because I want to share that piece of him with the world. I want to share that part of him with others.”
The Paul Walker Foundation has a strong emphasis on environmental issues, especially regarding the oceans and their marine life. These issues were close to Paul Walker’s heart when he was still here.
Now, they’re part of Meadow Walker’s heart. She’s helping the environment while simultaneously honoring her father. She shares, “Reflecting on my father, I found myself reflecting on his passions. His passion for the ocean, his passion for rescuing animals, his passion for helping people and his passion for spontaneous goodwill.”
Meadow Walker is now 18 years old and has a lot on her plate. She works as a model for Women’s Management in New York and is finding her way in the world as a new adult. Yet, she continues to put so much of her heart into The Paul Walker Foundation.
The launch of the foundation has brought in floods of compliments and praise for Meadow. One fan commented, “I think Meadow Walker and her family are doing a great job and up keep for her father. He would be very proud.” So many people are happy to find that Meadow has decided to thrive in her father’s footsteps.
On top of that, fans aren’t just sharing praise. People leave comments almost daily on The Paul Walker Foundation Facebook page sharing all of their good deeds – no matter how big or small – to better the environment.
One fan shared a picture of her son, commenting on the young boy’s love for the Fast and the Furious films and his ever-growing love for the planet. She writes, “Here he is with his sister, volunteering with the local girl scouts (even tho he is a cub scout!). This is not his first time requesting to help pick up litter.”
The foundation states, “Continuing his spontaneous goodwill has no boundaries. This is something we can all practice daily.”
It seems that Meadow Walker is inspiring people everywhere to take part in her father’s legacy and do good for the world. There’s no doubt that her father really would have been proud.
