Our facebook user had this question: “A person has a right to freedom of speech no matter where they are at all times so that includes their place of employment and under the First Amendment one cannot be fired for their expression. Being an attorney you can appreciate that, right?”

The answer:
Mr. Jackson is a lawyer and he was correct: you do NOT have 1st amendment rights on others’ PRIVATE property. The Bill of Rights provides protection for individual liberty from actions by government officials, but private property is not government-owned.
